WHAT IS PICOFY?

Picofy is a picosecond Nd:YAG laser that delivers energy in ultra-short 300 picosecond pulses. A picosecond is one trillionth of a second. Because the pulse is so short, the energy is delivered extremely quickly, helping to break pigment particles apart using a photoacoustic effect rather than prolonged heat.

In simple terms, Picofy focuses on delivering very fast, very precise bursts of energy designed to fragment pigment efficiently.

Picofy is commonly used to address:

  • Tattoo removal (black and coloured)
  • Dermal pigmentation
  • Melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • Acne scarring
  • Enlarged pores
  • Skin revitalisation protocols

WHAT IS QMODE?

QMode is a nanosecond Nd:YAG laser that delivers energy in stable 5–10 nanosecond pulses. A nanosecond is one billionth of a second, longer than a picosecond but still extremely fast.

QMode offers multiple wavelengths and pulse modes, allowing tailored energy delivery based on pigment type, depth and treatment objective.

It is commonly used for:

  • Epidermal pigmentation (sun spots, freckles, lentigines)
  • Dermal pigmentation
  • Melasma protocols
  • Tattoo removal
  • Acne scarring

Laser Genesis mode for toning and rejuvenation treatment. Raised lesions such as warts, skin tag and seborrheic keratoses

KEY BENEFITS

For Patients - Picofy

  • Non-surgical approach
Laser treatment without incisions or surgery.
  • Ultra-short pulse precision
The 300 picosecond pulse delivers energy quickly, designed to focus on pigment while limiting unnecessary heat spread.
  • Even energy distribution Picofy features a uniform “top-hat” beam profile. This means the energy is spread evenly across the treatment area rather than being stronger in the centre, supporting consistent coverage.

For Patients - Picofy

  • Patented Thermal Lens Control system
Designed to maintain a consistent spot size during treatment, even at higher repetition rates.
  • Multiple handpiece options
Zoom and fractional MLA handpieces allow different treatment approaches depending on concern and skin presentation.
  • Designed for multiple skin types to allow tailored treatment based on pigment depth.

For Clinics - Picofy

  • Tattoo and pigment treatments are typically delivered in structured series, supporting patient retention. Delivers high energy in short bursts, designed to fragment pigment effectively.
  • Power Factor Correction (PFC) technology is designed to support consistent energy output across sessions.
  • Scalable integration. Can sit alongside existing aesthetic or laser services.

For Patients - QMode

Key Patient Benefits

  • More effective pigment fragmentation (melasma, PIH, lentigines, tattoos)
  • Reduced heat injury → safer for darker skin types
  • Lower risk of rebound pigmentation
  • More comfortable treatment experience

For Clinic - QMode

Photoacoustic Twin Mode

What it does:
Delivers dual photoacoustic pulses in rapid succession to shatter pigment more efficiently while minimising thermal diffusion.

Qmode gives you intelligent photoacoustic control — safer melasma management, more predictable outcomes, and scalable pigment programs that grow recurring revenue.

Summary for both Picofy & QMode: Ideal Partner Technology

Clinics using combination concepts like:

  • Picofy (pico energy for depth)
  • Qmode (controlled toning & pigment stabilisation)

This creates a layered pigment strategy, which high-performance clinics use to differentiate themselves.
