InMode In The Press — Revolutionising Skincare with Morpheus8

Morpheus8 is making waves around the world, with the technology most recently getting rave reviews in Urban List. By combining microneedling with radio frequency technology to stimulate collagen production, Morpheus8 can assist with a range of skin and body sculpting concerns.

Urban List trialled the aesthetic device, and the reviews couldn’t have been better. In their own words:

But it wasn’t until about four weeks later that I started to notice my skin looking a whole lot better. Just as I was losing hope, my entire face seemed to get bouncier (yes, bouncier!) and a very persistent acne scar started to fade away.

So, how does it work?

Morpheus8 — Full Body RF Fractional Remodelling

Morpheus8 combines two separate technologies — microneedling and radio frequency energy to improve skin irregularities on the face and body.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves creating tiny punctures in the skin, which stimulates collagen and elastin production. The procedure can be used to address common issues such as acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation, and leads to a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance, as well as improvements in skin texture, tone, and overall health.

Similarly, radio frequency energy uses radio waves to penetrate the skin in order to stimulate collagen production and improve skin tone. The process involves applying heat deep within the layers of the skin, causing a contraction in the collagen fibres and encouraging the growth of new, healthy tissue.

The Morpheus8 brings together these two technologies to address skin concerns and provide face and body contouring through fat remodelling. It’s ideal for all skin types and comes with a low risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

What to Expect from Morpheus8

The team at Urban List recently trialled the aesthetic device and shared their experience in full online.

Prior to the procedure, you will be provided with topical anaesthetic. Expect to experience a little bit of pain and for your skin to look pink in the 48 hours following:

During the treatment, you’ll feel a bit of heat and, let's be honest, a little bit of pain. It’s nothing major though, just the kind of pain that lets you know magic is happening. The nurse will do a few passes over your face using different frequencies, so while some will feel painful, others are an absolute walk in the park.

It’s quite likely you’ll be nice and red straight after the treatment and while it subsides quickly, you might still be a bit pink for the next 24-48 hours. You'll want to keep your skin clean for that period which means no makeup for a few days, so make sure to plan your appointment accordingly.

Of course, this is just one patient’s experience — the Morpheus8 is available at a range of clinics around Australia.
